How to Write

Step 1. The top of the page will be for your name and contact information. This should assume a business card like feel to it.

Step 2. The first section will be the “Profile Summary” section. This may be two to five statements describing your professional life experience and the results of it or it may simply be a bullet list of such. In either case, this should be written with the goal of enticing a hiring entity to continue reading.

Step 3. The “Education” section is the area where you will list your academic achievements. List the degree you have earned here.

Step 4. In the “Technical Expertise” section list all of the tools and software you are well familiar with.

Step 5. The “Core Skills” section should be a bullet list of the proficiencies that you possess which apply directly to the job requirements.

Step 6. List your projects and previously employed positions in the “Work Experience” section. This should be in descending date order and should contain specifics such the name of the employer, when you were employed with them, and when you were employed with them. In addition, make sure to list your achievements and accomplishments below this.
