HOW TO WRITE
Step 1. In any resume, the first step must be to give the reader a way to contact the candidate applying for the position. It is imperative to make sure to list past achievements or knowledge that directly relate to or have been mentioned in the job description for the ‘Qualifications’ section. The ‘Special Skills’ section may list skills that may be useful, if hired.
Step 4. The next section, which should visually be in the center of the page is reserved for one’s professional experience. Oftentimes, one may wish to call attention to one’s specific accomplishments in the past under the heading such as “Notable Accomplishments.” Either section may precede the other as this is a matter of taste. The “Professional Experience” section should list previous companies one has worked in, positions held, dates worked, the city, the state, and short descriptions of one’s responsibilities in those positions. While there is no regimented order, the top line of each company should include the Position Held, Company, Name, Applicable Dates, and Location.
Step 5. Finally there should be an area of the resume for one’s academic achievements in “Education” and if applicable a listing of any additional skills which may be relevant to retail under the heading “Additional Capabilities” or “Related Skills.”
