How to Write

Step 2. Enter your contact information below your name. Do your best to make it look sleek. For instance if you have a particularly long mailing address, try placing your phone number and email on one line.

Step 3. Write a few statements regarding your skill and experience. These should be three to five brief complimentary statements. Place these under the “Summary” heading.

Step 4. Make a list of technical knowledge and any proficiencies you possess. Put this in a bullet format under the “Key Skills” heading.

Step 5. Write an outline summarizing your employment history. Each place of employment should have its own sub heading. The subheading should consist of the position title you held, the date range you were employed and the city and state where you were employed. The rest of that entry will be a list of duties that you were responsible for each respective employer. This list should be in reverse chronological order.

Step 6. Under “Education” list the degrees that you earned and report where you earned them.
